BEETROOT RICE

This is my second experiment on beetroot.I made this Delicious beetroot rice Yesterday.Its test was too good!!! and its colour WOW!!!!!Its red colour makes you and your guests feel hungry.. :).It too easy to make.Kids will love its test and colour..:)

Most important the beetroot is a very nutritious and has heaps of health benefits.Try this delicious rice...and I hope you could try it once a month.

Ingredients:-

1. 1 large beetroot peeled and greeted

2. 1 cup basmati uncooked rice washed and drained before 15 min.

3. 1/2 medium sized onion chopped lengthwise

4. 2,3 green chili chopped

5. 1 tb ginger garlic paste

6. 1 tb coriander powder

7. 1/2 tb cumin seed powder

8. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder

9. 1/2 tsp red chili powder ( as your test)

10. 1 tb coriander leaves chopped

11. 1 tsp butter or oil

12. salt to test





Procedure:-
1. Heat butter or oil into the pan and add onion.Fry till it turns brown.
2. Then add ginger -garlic paste and green chili and fry about 1,2 min.
3. Add greeted beetroot and fry another 2,3 min.
4. When almost all water absorb , then add turmeric powder,red chili powder ,coriander -cumin seed powder and mix it well.5. Add drained rice and mix it well.
6. Add 2 cup of water and salt to test.Bring it to boil.When it start to absorb water then turn heat high to low.Cover it and cooked about 10,12 min. on low heat.
7. Remove on plate and decorate with coriander leaves and some wet coconut.Serve Hot..
Look at its colour WOW!!!!

FRIED RICE

Fried rice is a popular component of Chinese cuisine and other forms of Asian cuisine. It is made from rice fried in a wok over high heat.

Who doesn’t like fried rice! I bet that all of us have our own favourite version .There are dozens of varieties of fried rice.Yesterday I made fried rice in my style.I really want to share with you.We loved it.I hope you will like it and Kids too.:)

Ingredients:-

1. 1+1/2 cup uncooked rice,washed,drained(If you have leftover rice you can use 3 cup of that)

2. 6 cup water

3. 2 tb oil

4. 1/4 cup french beans chopped

5. 1/4 cup carrot chopped lengthwise

6. 1/4 cup green spring onion

7. 1/4 cup white onion

8. 2 eggs(optional)

9. 1+1/2 tb soya sauce

10. 1 tb white vinegar

11. salt to test.
12. 2 clove garlic chopped

Procedure:-
1. Heat pan over medium high heat.Add 6 cup of water,salt to test and 1 tsp oil.Bring to boil.When water start boiling add uncooked rice.
2. Cooked until it done 80%.Do not cooked completely.Remove all extra water.
3. Heat wok or pan over medium- high heat.Add oil ,when it hot add garlic ,fry for 1 min.then add all vegetables except green spring onion and fry for 4,5 min. 4. Then add egg in it and continually fry 4,5 min.add little bit salt. 5. Then add cooked rice,soya sauce,and vinegar.Mix it well and fry another 4,5 min.Heat should be high in that time.And you have to do very fast all this steps.
6. At last add green spring onion and mix.7. Garnish with some green onions and serve hot....WOW!

TOMATO RICE


Tomato rice is my favourite one.Everyone will love it.Specially kids will love it.

Last week I made this rice.I've tried it before and it's very good done and it's also very fast,and very,very,very.......testy.....:) YUMMY!

So I want to share this recipes with you.Just give it a try.I am sure you and your kids will like it.

Ingredients:-
1.
1+1/2 cup uncooked rice,washed ,drained before 15 min.
2. 3 large red tomato
3. 2 green chili
4. 2 clove garlic
5. 1 inch ginger
6.1 tsp sugar
7. 1 tsp cumin seed
8. 1/2 tb butter (ghee)
9. 3+1/2 cup water
10. salt to test

Procedure:-
1. Blend tomato,garlic,ginger,chili along with 1/2 cup water.
2. Heat ghee on a pan.When it hot ,add cumin seeds.Then add blended mix.and sugar.3. Bring it to boil.
4. Add rice and mix well.5. Add rest of 3 cup water.Bring to boil.
6. Cover it with lid over med-low heat.And cooked until rice done.(for about 15,20 min.)Serve hot .

JEERA RICE(CUMIN RICE)

Ingredients:-

1. 1 cup uncooked basmati rice
2. 1 tb Jeera (cumin seeds)
3. 1 tb ghee( butter)
4. 3 springs coriander leaves(cilantro)

5. 3 springs mint

6. salt to test

Procedure :-

1. Wash and drain rice for 15 min.

2. Heat ghee in a heavy bottomed saucepan and add jeera in it.Jeera release the wonderful aroma.
3. When aroma release add rice and saute for min.Then add water,coriander leaves,mint and salt. 4. Bring to boil on high heat. When water started absorb cover it with lid on low heat about 15-20 min.
5. Serve hot with rayta or dal.

RICE

COOKING RICE IN RICE COOKER:-
Serving : 2
Time : about 20 min.

What you need :-

1. 1/2 cup uncooked rice

2. 1 cup water

3. 1 ts. oil

Procedure:-
1.Wash uncooked rice 2,3 times.Put it in the cooker and add water and oil in it.
2. Place the lid and switch the cooker on.
  • 3. The cooker will switch off automatically when the rice is done.In that time light will turns red to orange to keep the rice warm.


    4. Serve hot with curry.

PLAIN RICE

Serving :- 2
Time :- 20-25 min.
Cooking Rice Over a Stove Top :-
What you need:-

1. 1/2 cup uncooked rice

2. 1 cup water

3. 1/2 ts. oil

PREPARATION :-

1. Wash rice 2 or 3 times.

2. Put rice in a pan and add water and oil in it.And cook it on high flame.
3. Bring to boil and stir it.

4. When water absorbed close it with a lid and reduce flame to lowest. Let cook for another 10-12 min. 5. Serve hot with any type of curry or dal.:)

TIP :- Adding a oil will make the rice shiny and each grain will be separated.
