CHICKEN LIVER IN CURD GRAVY


Yesterday I made one dish from chicken liver.I have often made this recipes.Some people don't like liver,but there are some serious fans for chicken liver just like me and my daughter...:)
Chicken livers are excellent source of nutrition,Higher in iron,higher in vitamin C.Only big bad down side is they are very high in cholesterol.
But still we liked it.Its very simple recipe.Try it.
Ingredients:-

1. 1 lb. chicken liver,washed

2. 1 medium sized onion chopped lengthwise

3. 1 small tomato chopped lengthwise

4. 1/2 tb ginger garlic paste

5. 1 tsp. red chili powder

6. 1/2 tsp. turmeric powder

7. 1/2 tsp. black pepper powder

8. 1/4 tsp. garam masala(found in any Indian store)

9. 2 tb. coriander leaves (cilantro) chopped

10. 2 tsp. oil

11. 2 tb. curd
12. salt to test

Procedure:-
1. Heat oil in sauce pan and add onion.
2. Fry onion till it turns brown.Add ginger garlic paste and mix for 1,2 sec.
3. Add tomato and mix it well.
4. Add red chili powder,turmeric powder,garm masala and black pepper powder.Mix it for 1,2 sec.
5. Add curd mix and then add liver.Mix it very well.Do not add water.Add salt to test.
6. Cooked it until gravy turns thick.Gravy is depends on you whatever you want thick or thin.Add coriander leaves and turn off heat.
7. "Chicken liver in curd gravy" is ready.Serve hot along with plain rice or roti or bread too.

MACARONI KOFTA CURRY(GRAVY)

Yesterday I made kofta curry from macaroni.WOW!!!!!very ,very ,very testy!!!.In my house nobody can guess that it made from macaroni.
Actually my daughter likes macaroni,but she loves only cheese and macaroni.And she hates all type of curry/gravy.
Suddenly,an idea come to my mind.Wow!!! and it success....:)Try it.
Ingredients:-
For Curry:
1. 1 medium onion chopped lengthwise
2. 2 clove garlic
3. 1 tsp. sesame seed(white til)
4. 2 tb. coconut powder
5. 1 tb. coriander leaves chopped
6. 1/2 tb. cumin powder
7. 1 tb. coriander powder
8. 1/4 tsp garam masala(found any Indian store)
9. 1/2 inch ginger
10. salt to test

For Kofta:
1.
3/4 cup elbow macaroni,cooked,blended
2. 1/2 medium sized onion chopped
3. 1/2 tsp. red chili powder
4. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
5. 2 tb. gram flour(besan)
6. 1 tb coriander leaves chopped
7. salt to test

For tempering:
1.
1 clove garlic
2. 1/2 small onion chopped
3. 1 tsp. cumin seed(jeera)
4. pinch of asafotedia(hing)
5. 1 tsp red chili powder
6. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
7. 1 tb olive oil or vegetable oil
Procedure:-
1. Add 2 cup water in a pan and add macaroni and salt and boiled until macaroni cooked.Then add cold water 2,3 times and remove all extra starch.Drained it.And Blend it coarsely.
2. Meanwhile heat pan and add lengthwise chopped onion along with little bit salt and 1/2 tsp of oil.Fry until onion turns brown.
3. Then add coconut powder,garlic, sesame seed and 1/2 inch ginger and fry about 1,2 min.
4. Let cool it down.Pour mix into a blender.
5. Blend it as fine paste.
6. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and add cumin seed, garlic,asafotedia and chopped onion.(tempering)and fry about 3,4 min.
7. Then add red chili powder,turmeric powder and fry about 1 min.
8.Add 1 cup of water.If you want thin add more water.Bring it to boil.
9. Meanwhile mix all kofta ingredients and make small size of ball.(20 ball)
10. Add kofta into boil gravy. Cooked it 1,2 min over medium heat. After 2 min. cooked it over low heat about 12,15 min.
11. Then add blended mix and salt and bring it to boil.
12. Decorate with coriander leaves and cooked macaroni.Serve hot with roti or rice.
